When you have competed within the DECA world you will have experienced more than you will ever know. The best item would be when you are getting accustom to the world of business. This involves many different items such as getting to know how to dress to even knowing how to shake hands with different people. I'll explain two different items in this blog that I picked up last International Career Development Conference.
First, I learned that your first impression is huge when it comes to meeting high ranking business officials. Don't think that the way you look doesn't make an impression on people because it ALWAYS does.
Second, make sure to make an impression. A good impression. I made sure to always have a smile on and to wave/high five as many people as possible. Also I was making sure when I had the chance to I would show off my skills in my academic field.
